A New (Quicker?) Way to Blog

What do I mean? Audio and pictures rather than text — check out Sketchcast.com.

I agree with the above embedded “sketchcast” that some ideas/concepts of blog posts are definitely better conveyed with graphics/pictures and audio rather than text. I know visual representations help many people (me included) grasp a concept in far less time than it would take to understand an the entire concept by reading text, so sketchcast could either replace a traditional blog post or add another dimension to a complex topic. If you’ve ever wished you could convey a whiteboard drawing with a blog post (without drawing on a whiteboard and then snapping a photo of it), now you can.

I’m not feeling very creative at the moment, but I’m sure some Realtors can figure out creative ways to provide value to their readers with this application.

It looks like Kevin beat me to mentioning this company to the RE.net.

I saw this over on John Chows web site yesterday and I think it will be handy b/c it doesn’t use a lot of bandwidth, where if you used video to do something similar it gets tough for people who are on dial-up to view it. I think most forget about those of us who are still in the dinosaur age of dial-up. I like to build my blog so that when I get home and load it up on my dial-up machine, it goes quickly. For some in these rural areas, it makes all the difference in people actually checking out your web site.
