Blog Transparency by Exposing Comment Authors’ IP?
By Drew Meyers | August 20, 2007
There is a great conversation (51 comments) occurring on Lani’s A Call for ALL to Participate in Blog Transparency at R.E.Revealed. Lani added PHP code to her blog that displays the IP address of each commenter as a way to thwart anonymous “trolls” who aim to ruin blog conversations — I’d encourage everyone to read through the comments and add your thoughts to the discussion.
Additionally, there’s a follow up post on Realtor Genius titled Why I Think Some Will Protest Blog & Forum Transparency.
