OK great. I don't mean to be negative about something that I have not actually checked out personally. You guys are very smart and have created some smart software so I bet it will be sharp. It surprises me that MLS's are allowing you to use old listing photos in a new listing. I have been in 3 MLS's - Pikes Peak Association of Realtors, Houston Association of Realtors, and MRIS and it was my understanding that none of them allowed this. And the idea of Google archiving interior pictures of people's homes... if this is really the case, I can see a lot of people having a problem with this.

It's one thing for a home owner to upload pictures of their own home or for an agent to upload to upload pictures to market a home for sale, but people are very privacy-sensitive. Most will probably take exception with Google treating interior pictures of their home as open-source content to be indexed and aggregated and shared.

This is why I thought this may be a prank. Could you imagine a home owner doing a search on Google and by chance seeing a picture of his daughter's bedroom online?

@Brian Wilson - After talking with many agents they all were asking for something that writes the description for them. The description is generated from numerous factors that I can't go into detail about due to the proprietary nature of them. As for the photos - Google Interior Views - they are in fact archiving, cataloging and hiring companies to take photos of the interior of homes - As for reusing MLS photos the agent can because once they are uploaded they become the property of the MLS and as of now the MLS's we've spoke to have no problem with agents reusing them. The future is now.

"No longer will you have to spend hours writing a property description that provides little information, make you sound like you are trying to be the next Ann Rice or are just plain lies."

Who spends hours writing a property description?
Who tries to write like Ann Rice?
Is the alternative to writing like Ann Rice to just plan lie?

If these are really problems, then is the best solution to have a website that has never been inside the home or spoken to the homeowner or even been in the neighborhood write or generate a description?

"In some locations they have started to employ companies to discreetly take photos of the interiors without disturbing the occupants."

I don't think this applies to people's homes... Google is probably only doing this in prominent public buildings. And I am sure Diverse Solutions knows that an agent cannot use a previous agent's listing photos for a property without permission. You cannot just republish them in a new listing.

I don't get it. Is this an April Fools thing?
