Thanks to my newest BFF’s at makeuseof.com (an absolute must for any RSS Reader), I have found Digsby! I have been looking long and hard for an application that can allow me “All-in-one” access to my Emails, Social Networks (Twitter, Facebook, & MySpace), and my IM accounts (Yahoo Messenger, AIM, MSN, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber), and finally I found someone who is getting it right, Digsby! Please note that it is in Beta (anybody else think that this term is overused?) so it does have some items that need tweaking, but they are actively upgrading (daily almost) and willing to listen and learn from the participants.

In short, these guys are a “Life Saver”. The notifications are smooth, quiet, and concise. The application is simple to use. It allows me to keep tabs on multiple yahoo accounts without logging out constantly, I no longer need Twhirl to read Twitter. I can appear “on line” in Yahoo Messenger, yet “off-line” in Google Talk if I want, & it is a single dashboard accessible in my system tray for simplicity.

I love Digsby, and the more of you that join and start suggesting upgrades, the better it will be! Give it a shot, and start living the “Simple Life”!

Agents, Stop-Listen-Learn-Prosper!

    Eric:

My first suggestion was for them to open the program to MAC and Linux users.

I’ll be back to play with the Windows version, though. Thanks for the tip!

How incredible is your timing of this post when I just installed it myself not 3 hours before this hit my feed reader. My reason for it was to not only do what you say above but also for its widget ability and, thus, placement on my website so that visitors have the opportunity to chat with me live. After one day of use I can say it rocks.
