Goomzee just announced a new next messaging marketing product called InterAct. The technology enables text message chat conversation between buyer and seller:

When enabled, the InterAct feature will record additional text messages received during a specific time period and link them to the initial buyer request. The seller is alerted of the additional messages either via email, online or as a text message. This ensures they do not miss valuable requests and can convert more leads into sales. The entire history of messages and even lead status is quickly accessible within the Realty Connect management website.

Thinking about this from a potential buyer’s perspective, I see value in helping real estate pros track this type of communication with potential buyers. Today’s young and internet empowered consumers are rapidly approaching the time in their lives where they want to purchase a home. If an agent takes 48, or even 24, hours to respond to a buyer question — it’s likely the consumer will have already moved on to the next agent. Anything that helps facilitate INSTANT responses, or as close to it as possible, to consumer questions is a win in my book.

I’m not a real estate agent, but for those of you who are, have you had any experience with Goomzee’s Realty Connect service (I believe this new InterAct functionality is part of Realty Connect)? If so, has it helped you close any business? If not, what are your thoughts on text message marketing in general?

The only part that i really do not like, and that probably scares me, is that they specify that they record all the messages. Its not that Im doing something bad, but the mere fact of knowing that it is being recorded makes me wonder by whom this information is being handled, and if some day it leaks by some peenetration or something odd, it might cause much damage.

Like facebook did, i believe they should retract on the fact that they keep a copy of the messages, I really disggaree there.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this post, interesting enough !

    Cheers.
