Most of the agents that I know are extremely diligent about watching their web traffic and their hits to keep their site running with the most relevant information and help their search engine rankings.  While this is a very effective practice one of the other items that I suggest is to add CrazyEgg to your website.  Simply put, CrazyEgg will monitor your site and provide a heat map of where visitors are actually clicking and where they’re spending the majority of their time.

Although CrazyEgg makes a demo available of their services they have packages as low as $9 per month that gives you the ability to track up to 10 pages and 10,000 visits per month.  The report that you receive will break down your traffic in many formats such as a ‘heat’ map, list map, statistical results and many others.

I have been using CrazyEgg for about a year now and it has been a huge help in identifying what buttons to add or remove from my website.  I’m partial to the heat map because it helps me make effective use out of the acutal layout of my website in terms of where I add buttons or lead generation forms.  Since implementing this system to monitor my website I have seen a noticable increase in the leads that are coming from my website.  Try them out, I know you’ll love their service!

I do not use CrazyEgg; however, I do think it is important to know your website stats.

I don’t know what analytics program you are using, but Google Analytics is free, and quite amazing… to top it all off they have a heat map included in their free software!

I have used CrazyEgg for the past year as well. I think it’s a great compliment to Analytics as it gives some extra data.

It is amazing what users will actually click on compared to what I think they should be clicking on :) . We have been able to change our pages based on the data that we collected and improve our conversion rates so it definitely helps. For $9/mo I think it’s a good tool to add to the online marketing arsenal.
