Trips to take

First Time in Orange County

Orange County is a wide and varied patchwork of cultures and communities, so it always benefits from more than one look. However, for new visitors to the area, there are certain locales more equal than others. First timers gravitate to the coastline, and the beach towns of Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach (do you see a theme yet?), and San Clemente. The original Disneyland in Anaheim is a must, even for those without children. And don't forget to hire a car: this is a land built around the internal combustion engine, where people use the term "freeway close" with no trace of irony.

This is a place that celebrates the passion that life has and it is intoxicating, you just feel full of life here. Along the way dine at some traditional restaurants as well as some ethnic ones to complete the experience. The food will be amazing, Greek, European, German, American, what else can you want.

It wouldn't be complete for most people with out golf. If golf is not your thing, then do one of those other Orange County things, its up to you. Between the John Wooden Classic dine at great laid back restaurants and sample an obscene amount of beer. Do this all over the city, and then crash at your oh so comfortable bed at the Hilton Suites Anaheim/ Orange.
