Creating a new tag is very simple. Once you are logged into your account, just click create Tag, then assign a URL to the tag you are creating. After tag creation, you’ll see it in your list of available tags. You can download more tags from web.

Hello,
I know I am a bit late on this thread. Today I was looking for info on QR readers because everyone in my office is starting to use them and I wanted to understand them more. I guess the concept has really taken off, but I don’t ever hear about the Micro soft reader you are talking about here, is it still being used and if so would an app like my iPhone QR reader be able to read the Microsoft one or would they have to use the MS reader.

If you don’t have the capability of loading apps to your phone but can do text messaging you can use a mobile platform called IZIGG. Instead of a barcode your customer simply needs to text your “mobil name” to 90210, they get a mobile business card and you get their phone number to call while they are standing right there in front of the property you have for sale. If they aren’t interested in that property you can send a text message to your data base anytime you have a new listing. This is a very interesting technology. This could help well if you are selling properties and want to show them on the web. Just snap it and the needed information shows. I could think of a hundred ways to use this tool, the possibilities are just endless!

Yes, Matthew, I think there's great potential for the 2D Barcode Reader in the Los Angeles real estate business. I think more and more people will have a shortcut to the tag reader on their phone.

Very good points David about the yard signs. I could see a drive by buyer possibly using this from their cell. It's so nice that MSFT and others are making this easy, even for non technical folks to create interesting technology for use in the real world. Cheers, Matthew

this very cool. we used this similar technology for our Coldwell Banker app on the Microsoft Surface, where agents could just slap their custom bar code down on the Surface and it would bring up their listings on a map. I like that this application is being encourage more for use on social spaces than on yard signs as I'm not sure how many folks are walking up to yard signs to use this.
