Christopher Zabka & I have launched a new blog titled Real Estate Politics and we’d love to get feedback from the Geek Estate audience. The purpose of the blog is to encourage balanced discussion of industry topics, with the goal of allowing both sides to have an equally strong voice. Related to that, one thing we have done is create a “Great Debates” series, where two authors will go at it by debating a hot issue related to the industry with arguments and rebuttals.

Yesterday, we published the first of our “Great Debates” series where I took on Russell Shaw. The question was — “Realtor.com: Friend or Foe?” You can decide for yourself who won the argument, but I feel both sides were equally represented :)

We’re looking for both debaters and ideas for debate topics — if you have suggestions for either one, please let us know with a comment or an e-mail.

Thought it was entertaining. You created a blogging “event” which is always novel. The premise kind of reminded me of the Greg Kelman vs Lenox Scott duet at Connect SF 07. Know what I mean? Get one of those going!
