textbroker

When trying to rank in search engines one of the most important factors is creating valuable content on your website. Content that is useful to your visitors and that people will naturally want to link to. The problem with developing content is that it can be:

  1. Time consuming – if you’re doing it yourself
  2. Expensive – if you have somebody good writing for you
  3. Junk – if you find a cheap solution

Well I just got back from Pubcon Las Vegas and it’s no surprise to me that the most interesting thing I took away from this SEO conference was a vendor called Text Broker who offers copywriting solutions. The idea here is that they match people needing content with freelance authors.

They have over 25,000 copywriters currently signed up, so I’m hoping to find some people specializing in real estate. Also, they have different levels of authors that are rated by their editorial staff. The higher the level, the higher the cost, but the prices seem reasonable.

If you need help with content development I’d check them out. I’ll be giving them a go in December and I’ll report back on my experience.

Holysh!t, this service is awesome, and yes I've tried it. I've had ~ 2,000 words written so far and I've been very impressed. It took awhile to get a response back from my first test assignment and my cynicism had started to kick into overdrive but when I got my first 1000 words back I was more than impressed. Forget about wasting your time with odesk.com for content anymore these guys do a great job of screening the writers.

My advice: start with a 400-500 word article and see what you think. My experience has only been with 4 star writers so far but I'm happy with the quality I've received from them, I may go 5 star for some pieces I want really well researched we'll see how things progress. I've got some larger orders in now so we'll see what happens from here…
