With a name like Jason Brown optimizing solely for my name is ridiculous. Let’s see the first page Google results for “Jason Brown”: 1. Football player, 2. Musician, 3. State Representative… And on to page 2. There I am right above “Yoga with J. Brown”. Maybe one day I’ll be the #1 Jason Brown. For now I’ll have to settle for being the #1 Realtor Jason Brown (yes, I have found at least three other Realtors named Jason Brown’s around the country.

On the bright side, my parents didn’t name me Eunice. (If your name is Eunice, I will go ahead and apologize now – and recommend you start going by your middle name).

This is a great topic that is only going to increase in importance. Personally, I’d never buy adwords for my own name, but that could just be me — I like all your other suggestions.
