pingdomlogo.jpg Pingdom is an “uptime monitoring” company. They monitor your website or blog (up to five different domain names) at user definable intervals and will notify you if your site is unreachable.

Sometime yesterday, they announced they would be offering 1,000 free yearly accounts for Firefox users. You just need to go to the sign-up page using Firefox.

I have no idea how many free accounts are left, but I just got one at 1:15am (MST) on August 25.

You can be notified via text message (limit of 20), or unlimited notices via email.

The cost of an yearly account is usually $120. For this free offer, no credit card info is collected, and there is no “auto renewal” at the end of the free year.

You can’t be on your blog or website 24×7, so why not slide over to Pingdom and let them monitor your website uptime for you.

Offer ends soon. Hurry……
