Google launches a new phone, google launches a new browser, it seems to me that our friends at google are trying to takeover many markets at once !!
and with the publicity they possess they actually have a chance !!!

Looks like the WebKit is just to keep it in step with Chrome. I hope that it goes over well. I'm with Sprint right now, but I'd look at a phone that was run on open source software. I'm a big fan of Open Source. I run OpenOffice, Thunderbird, Sunbird, FireFox etc.

I see the phone is to use WebKit, a step away from G's close association with Firefox. Maybe they were too bulky to meet the mark.

Seriously? Like we need another smart phone on the market. Is Google going to allow pop-ups on our phones?...

Richard, you are seriously kidding, right? - pop ups on your iPhone? I think most people would shell out the couple hundred bucks to in fact never allow pop ups to happen on a cell phone. If that happens, then something is seriously wrong. jmho, Matthew

THE PHONE IS SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO BE INEXPENSIVE.
THERE ARE RUMORS OF AN OPTION TO ALLOW POP UP ADVERTISEMENTS THAT WORK WITH THE GPS OF THE PHONE. IN ALLOWING THIS SERVICE, YOU WILL LOWER THE COST OF THE PHONE.

Im quite certain it will be expensive, early adopters often pay the price for new technology. There are options for smart phones out there that don't break the bank, just don't expect all the bells and whistles. If you're looking for a low priced alternative, check out the Palm Centro. $99. Are you aware that the iPhone dropped to $199 for the new 3G?

Please tell me this is not going to be another expensive over the top wireless phone. Although many people love the iphone, blackberry, palm, and more... Well many can't afford to pay 3,6,and $900. Is it affordable?
