Hi Everyone, The Coach here!

Haven’t spoken in a while, my apologies for that. I (Like so many others) was a little distracted by life and the “curve balls” in can throw you :)

Thus the moral of my (short) story today….As a Father & Coach of 2 boys, who played baseball, I can appreciate just how difficult it can be to hit those darn things…I always tell my boys…”Just wait on it, and take it to right field (left field for my oldest, he hits lefty). In life, it works quite the same way. When you get thrown a “curve ball”, rather than flail at that thing thing in vein and look like an idiot, relax! Take a deep breath and bring your self back to a positive place.

I was never really I guy who went for the Motivational Coaching thing. I always felt I was fully capable of handling it. I knew the power of PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), I read a few books. It worked for me so many times before, why not this time? Why was I not able to shake this “Funk”? IDK (My kids taught me that one) What I do know is “I” wasn’t working. I turned to Brian Tracy, Bill Bartmann, and a host of the Nation’s (World’s) top Business Coaches for help…Son of a….(gun), I felt like it was helping. These guys have something here. Through working with the above mentioned men, and discovering my new favorite Speaker/Mentor, Kevin Carroll (Think PLAY and “The Big Red Ball”), I felt rejuvenated.

SO WHY AM I SHARING THIS WITH YOU?….because, my friends, in these difficult times when we are all searching for “The next best thing” “The key to success”, or as I have been writing about my whole career, “The Coolest Tool”…we missed the mostest and bestest “COOL TOOL” of them all….The Human Mind! You had it right there all the time. It was under your nose (well technically above your nose, but you know what I mean).

Come on Guys (and Gals)…”What you can conceive, you can achieve” and please take a moment to view the video linked to this, no infamous quote, by Jim Valvano (Jimmy V), and be inspired by his words….

“Don’t Give Up, Don’t Ever Give Up”…Jimmy V

May you find your “Cool Tool” and with it, Success!

Great post Eric (Dad). Have always loved the quote by Jimmy V. My dad has cancer and I always remind him of this quote. Real estate is an emotional and human transaction. You can have the most high tech website (which I always strive to have), but it all boils down to having conversations, being viable and visible to the public, and yes, never giving up!
