I thought this video from Matt Dollinger was worth sharing — the takeaway is to “FOCUS” on what really generates business for you and not get sucked into spending unnecessary time and effort on tasks that don’t lead to real business.

Good points. I've had success monetizing my web presence, and let my old (effective) lead generation techniques fall by the wayside, because the ROI wasn't quite as strong – basically, I quite mailing & contacting my referral database about 1.5 years ago. It's stupid b/c it's money that I'm leaving on the table.

While I tend to agree with Matt's assertions, I will put this thought out there as well…In April of 2008, I wrote a post right here on GEB, titled “Every Real Estate Batman, Needs a Geek Estate Robin” http://www.geekestateblog.com/every-real-estate...

and to this day, I still subscribe to this theory, that we are in a changing business, and those Realtors best equipt to handle it, are “Teams”. two or more professionals, working together to maximize their potential.

Love the video format Matt! :)
