You are quite welcome! I would definitely get her a 24-inch iMac for $1,099 because it has the screen size and processing power to handle video editing more so than the 13″ MBP listed above.

Josh, be still my heart! For one who is fairly new in the Geek Estate world, where to begin?! As I type this on an (almost) 4 year old MacBook, never considered a refurbished MacBook Pro. Very cool.

Fortunately, my 15-yr-old is a terrific film and editor geek (though she'd much prefer producing) and knows how to use Final Cut Pro. Getting her to help me with my biz? Don't think that's on your list. :-/ That said, however, her G4 is a dinosaur at 6/7 years old and there is that refurbished MacBook Pro..hmm..maybe I could negotiate something with the kid. =) Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing!
