it's definitely true that those social networks become more and more popular and a large potential marketing place for commercials. should be some rules to regulate it!!!

Great points indeed. Yesterday, I posted some stats on the top twitter users along with some averages that were released from a study that was done on Twitter usage across the board.

Great points for sure Geordy :)

Great post man, you really hit the major points on how twitter can be effective. The market is evolving, and realtors and real estate agents need to be communicating the knowledge they have in a digital medium if they hope to survive.

Yah, I would say Twitter is pretty much up there with Craigslist and the likes (if used correctly) for networking listings between agents.

Hi Geordy!

Perfect write-up of why I also use twitter. Also, some of my clients are now using twitter. So it allows me to see more into their lifestyle - what is going on at work? where are they eatting? what parks do they like? etc.

Only been doing it for a few months and I am now 500+ followers strong. I love twitter and it is a great asset to my business.

Twitter really helps. I made sure this after I saw that almost all popular sites are there. I think therefore we can find there almost anyone, which is very positive impact for any kind of business.

Hi Geordy: Thanks for the mention. Blogging for Zillow and doing celeb real estate is supposed to be a small part of my job, but when I see interesting stories (Extreme Home Makeovers, $1 homes in Detroit), celebs and the life they lead, it's hard to ignore. About Twitter: slowly, but surely, we have seen pickup on our blog posts and re-tweets and a whole new world has opened up for all of us. Spencer has his followers and expertise, DavidG, Drew, and AmyBo, have theirs and I have the titillating world of celebs. While Twitter was not an instant hit with me initially, I'm now addicted. I have wonderful exchanges with people I normally wouldn't. Blogging now seems slow and all consuming. Twitter is fast-twitch. I love it.

And I will be following you! Regards! @dianetuman
