Walk Score Releases Public Transit Data

For those who were using Walk Score’s real estate tile, you now have public transit data on your website (for the 40 cities covered) as a result of the addition of transit data to Walk Score.

Helping people find a home in a walkable neighborhood near transit is the “greenest” feature you can offer on a real estate site.
It also makes great investment sense. Check out this Denver post article that shows homes within 1/2 mile of light rail appreciated 17% while the rest of the Denver housing market fell 7%:

There's also a study showing that 1 point of Walk Score is worth as much as $3,000 depending on the metro area:
