TechVibes Global announced yesterday that the Seattle Startup Index “ratings” were in for September 2008. It’s great to be on top in more ways than one might imagine. Alexa is the WEB Information Company, a site that provides information regarding : Traffic, Movers and Shakers etc.

All these sites are worth checking out in my honest opinion, each of them offers a great service or product that can’t be half bad, especially if they made this list. Alexa, she don’t lie!

How about, “Alexa sucks”
I think any analysis of traffic that only comes from people with a specific toolbar installed is bound to be flawed. I suspect there is generally a certain demographic that uses the Alexa toolbar, and likely certain demographics where few if any use it. I don’t know if Alexa toolbar users are truly representative of the general population.
It may be fairly accurate for high traffic sites (such as are on this list), but it is WAY off for the vast majority of sites.
Nice title!

Jay - I knew you’d finally come around! lol~
I’m just the piano player here my friend, I’m not promoting or demoting Alexa one way or the other.
Just reporting the facts of their findings.
Thank for stopping by my friend.

What is TTR. I assume its some kind of traffic measurement but I have seen it before. Also I had to check number 4 “I Can Has Cheeseburger” just because of the title. I figured it would be a site about well Cheeseburgers. Instead it seems to be a site about cats.

Ki - TTR is a traffic measurement and I have to tell ya, when I saw the cheesburger link, I did the same thing as you. lol~
